I initally had a 2 ct Princess which was bezel set, and in chipped in one corner. Luckily it was insured, so we opted for a cash payout so we could deal with a jeweller we picked, instead of a jeweller nominated by the insurer.

I searched far and wide for what I wanted - I certaintly didnt want a Princess again incase it happened again ( although a few jewellers told me what happened was very very unlikely to happen again - it was just bad luck!) So I searched PS and looked and drooled at the many beautiful and gorgous rings on the site!!!

I worked with two Sydney jewellers for 2 months and they both couldnt come up with a suitable stone in my budget - both said supply was low in the 1ct plus mark due to the financial crisis and low importing etc, so was getting fed up until I came across Ellissi in Melbourne - Ian gad the exact stone I was looking for, I emailed him a few pics and there we go!

I was worried the ring was going to look TOO BIG (is there such a thing??!!!) , but I think it looks perfect for a size 7 hand!

I promise to try again today for some more hand shots - might have to borrow a better camera!
