Last week I finally did it: I traded up my 1ct "good" cut RB to an excellent cut 1ct RB, and also got a new rose gold setting! So to be honest, I have a completely new ring!
And now to the pictures made in diffuse light:
Thank you for all your nice comments!
To tell the truth, I looovvveee my new diamond, but I am not 100% satisfied with the setting. I had to decide very quickly on the setting, because we were only 4 days in the city, where it was made. I was considering to make a Soleste inspired double halo, but I was also afraid, that it would be too big with a 1 ct. centre diamond. I do not know, if I made the right decision.
Maybe in the future I am going to buy a green tourmalin for this rose gold setting, and buy a Soleste-like setting for my diamond.
What is your opinion?
As per request, to the stats:
GIA 1169205401
1.00 ct. RB
G
VS2
Table 61%
Total depth 58.6 %
Crown angle 32.5
Pavillon angle 40.8
The stats are not usual, but it still scores 1.7 on the HCA. I also have an IdealScope and the backlight, so I also have seen the IdealScope Image! I was satisfied with it!
But of course your comments are welcome!
