They need a little icon with the eyes popping out of the head...that was pretty much my reaction to this stunning block of ice! Amazing! Did you help pick it out? If not, your fiancee has a very discriminating eye!
I am sure you have mastered the ring display by now (arm outstretched, wrist snapped, fingers splayed) - but with a rock like that on your finger, it must get exhausting!
I had some input on the stone, I always wanted a radiant, and they were always shown with trillions, which I find dig in your fingers. Then I saw one at Harry Winston with trapezoids and knew that was what I wanted.
He got the stones seperately and had the setting custom made in platinum. I was expecting the shape of the ring, but I had no idea on size it would be. Needless to say, I loved it.
I have also found that I do not need to really display it. The ring is so brilliant, and throws off the most amazing sparkle, that people will just notice without me having to deliberately show it off.
There is another photo of the ring on my finger, but it's not a great picture. It's on another post titled another picture.
Beautiful and elegant. Do the trapezoids extend the full length of the side until the "corner"? Go, on, tell us, what are the reactions of your friends, family and colleague?
Yup, the trapezoids do extend to the width of my finger.
As to the reaction I get...
When people hear I just got engaged, the first thing they usually say is, "let me see the ring". Before they finish asking, I'll casually
lift my hand, and the reaction is usally "Oh My God"
I teach a group fitness class in various gyms, and I usually walk around the room and talk a lot with my hands as I explain. A lot of my students come to me at the end of the class letting me know that my ring is distracting them, and that they just are following the light flashing off from my ring.
I love my ring, but I never expected the attention it gets.
F&I, I thought the same thing and it drove me nuts until I figured out who it was. His name was AlmostThere and the ring turned out absolutely drop dead gorgeous! His ring was made by Whiteflash.
Madison, are you the lucky gal? Would love if you could post some side views of this beauty. If you are *the one* we saw this beauty in the making.
