My New Marquise Ring From Ebay

I bought this lovely marquise ring off of ebay. It is listed as a .70 H SI 1 excellent cut. It is really beautiful and sparkles like crazy.

I mean, people can write whatever they want about the bling's specs on e-bay, can't they? My friend has had several bad experiences purchasing blings off the internet. You are very lucky. Thanks everyone. I was really inspired by Niel's lovely marquise. Luckily the guy shipped this ring so quick I hardly had time to worry about if it was going to be a dud. Ebay can be a bit of a gamble. Paid off for me this time. Now I just really need to get it sized.

I took my ring in to the jeweler today since I know they will take a week to size it. The lady helping me said it was one of the most beautifully cut marquise diamonds she had ever seen. She would have guessed G for color and said the clarity was very good and it did look about 70 points. The setting does need some repair. The head must of been banged into something and is a bit off center. Also the prongs are worn down and need to be built up. They will have all of that done in a week. I can't wait to wear it.

I don't really know settings enough to say. I did take some pictures of the side view before I took it to the jeweler and I'll post them tomorrow. Then hopefully you can let me know what kind of setting it is.

I snapped a few quick pictures of the setting yesterday before I went to the jeweler. Unfortunately it was a little dark in the house. I lightened the photos but they are a bit grainy. You can see where the head is off to the side a bit. Luckily they are fixing that for me.
