We have been looking to upgrade my ring the past year. After tons of research I told my husband I wanted a lab grown diamond. We have a kid going to college in a few years. I could not see spending the money on an earth grown. Plus I decided to have some plastic surgery, so all about balance!

I love with JA you can upgrade and they treat lab grown the same as earth grown for returns etc. Unfortunately, I did not screen shot prior to purchase and since it's in production, it's not viewable. I am having it set in the 18 W Gold Petite Flower Solitaire Engagement Ring. It will be paired with my JA .75 low dome earth created anniversary band (F/G)

What do you think of these specs?

Beautiful stone! I am also considering upgrading my solitaire from a moissanite to a lab grown diamond so I can upgrade that and my setting. If I do earth grown I don’t think I would want to do both.

I'm loving the 40.7/35.0/56.0 combo with the nice tall 15.5% crown height!
Great light return in the Ideal-Scope.
HPHT with no blue nuance - you picked a real winner and I'm looking forward to any pictures and videos, if you wish to post any after you take delivery!

Thank you so much! I put alot of research into this! I new what I wanted in an earth grown diamond, so I applied the same concepts. I never found the JA reps super helpful online. The one rep wasn't even well versed in LGD. I am glad I took the time to understand the different methods of growth. That helped. I will definitely return with photos and videos!

The specs are fantastic, and the diamond looks gorgeous! It's going to be a real fireball with that high crown angle and crown height! I also love the solitaire you chose. Please come back with photos!

Did you find this on your own? Its exactly what I'm looking for as well! I need to go in person to carat sizing but the specs on the crown and everything as my ideal!

Beautiful! I can't wait to see the final ring. I also have two kids off to college so I absolutely understand. Good luck with your surgery.

I did! I put in the specifications in their search function. I used ideal specifications and then I saved the diamonds I liked the look of. I compared several. I wanted a 2 carat, but not in my budget, so I wanted what was best for my $$. When was looking at earth diamonds I was considering a J. I decided on a E by looking at diamonds set in their customer gallery.

Thank you! My husband said this is my year. I sacrifice so much for our family. So he was like an upgrade and plastics. I am no fool though! I am not trying to send my family to the poor house lol!

I can't wait to see pics of this one.

It’s going to be stunning!

This is beautiful! Can't wait to see pics. Great job finding this on your own too!

I may have missed it but what setting are you getting it put in?

Congrats. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.

I believe it is this one:

He is right that’s the link! Sorry I should have linked it. I actually tried this setting on in their DC location. I thought I would prefer something else and had another ring picked out. I think I have driven my husband mad! I attached a few photos when I went to James Allen in DC.8C89B68A-6617-46D2-B4A2-62E3F8BFA2F6.jpeg DF2592DB-E699-40E9-9DDB-5639ACE0F3E6.jpeg

I am hoping the prongs don’t look so heavy when in production… but I think the photos make them larger then what they are. I really wanted flush fit and this did the trick.

I have a cathedral setting too and I love it!

I think it looks lovely on you! I love flush-fit cathedral settings too.

You all are awesome. I was like what will people think if I get a lab diamond. Then I realized the only people that know are me and my husband. After my research, I don't understand the miss conception of them! It's like you get the best of both worlds in a lab grown diamond color and size!

The diamond is gorgeous and I am glad you are happy. Amazing choice. :D

Honestly, I don't get the argument for natural over LGD as gemologists cannot tell the difference besides the inscription on the side that marks it an LGD. More regular consumers are switching over to LGD as it's environmentally safe, less expensive, and there are no bad mining practices. Additionally, they are just as beautiful and chemically identical to natural. I am strictly going LGD moving forward and I hope De Beers Corporation takes a big hit as they suck.

Anyhoo, congrats on the diamond once again. I love it!!!
