My New JKT Earrings!

It's been a while since I've been on PS but wanted to share my new JKT earrings as I love how they turned out and have no one to share in my excitement . The stones are chrysoprases which Julia picked up for me at the Tucson gem show end of last year. I was turned on to the stone for the first time when I saw a chrysoprase ring at Neiman Marcus but the $5K+ price tag seemed outrageous, especially since the stone is not very expensive. After patiently waiting for 6 months on Julia's "list", it was finally my turn to create my earrings. She sketched out 3 designs but I knew right away this was the one I wanted, and it came out exactly as she had drawn. She was a joy to work with (this is my 2nd project with her) and I love her style!!

The gold is 18K and really complements the green apple color of the stones. I never saw the stones before they were set, so I am really pleased as they are MUCH nicer than the one I saw at Neiman--very glowy and translucent! I have black hair, so I think they will really stand out when I am wearing them.

Gorgeous! love the design! looks like a larger (nicer quality) version of the type of designs I see in the "museum of jewelry" pieces (I like the designs so have a couple museum of jewelry earrings).
