What a PRECIOUS baby!!!

Bunny poo comes in little balls, but their pee stinks...LOL!

I raised show rabbits in high school and am now on the Rabbit Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Can you tell me more about keeping a bunny as a pet??? (Maybe Boo needs a little BUNNY BROTHER????!)

Does he have to stay in his cage when you aren''t home, or can he have free range of your home? Does he use a litter box??? How does having a bunny compare to having a kitty, do you know??? Any difficulties with having a pet bunny??? Oh, I WANT ONE!!!!

He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO stinkin'' cute! I''m going back to look at his pictures again!!!

Lynn, he''s my first bunny, so I really don''t have much experience yet. But he does use a litter box (well, he''s still getting the hang of it) and he''ll eventually be allowed to run free in at least a few rooms. I had to bunny proof by covering all cords, so the living room might stay off limits because of all the tv cords that would be a pain to deal with. The bunny proofing is kind of a pain, but once it''s done, you''re good to go.

When we''re gone he''ll stay in his cage, because I don''t think I''ll ever trust that he won''t gnaw on my furniture, but at least while we''re home he can come and go in his cage as he pleases. Kind of like keeping a dog in a crate while you''re away.

So I''d say having a kitty might be easier (though I''ve never had a cat either) because they can be given free range and don''t have as much potential to destroy things. But honestly, after having him a few days, he''s so easy to take care of! He just runs around and acts cute

Where did you get him?

I got him from a local breeder who breeds them for shows. She has 5 little kids who handle the bunnies every day, so I knew she must be breeding for good personality as well as looks. I''d love to get my next bunny from a shelter though. Maybe someday we''ll find Otto a little girlfriend to live with

Holly, he''s actually using his litter box already after only 2 days! He''s only had one accident, and that was on FI''s lap. Naughty bunny

They pretty much pick one corner of their cage to do their business, and you just put a litter box there for them to use. Hopefully he keeps up his good habits and doesn''t start going all over my house when I let him have more freedom!

Skippy, he''s relaxing right now and it''s sooo hard to not grab him out and cuddle him. Lol I don''t want to annoy him by being in his face all the time, but I do love snuggling! I''ll wait until he wakes up from his nap, then I''ll get some cuddles in.
