Hello All. This is my new Alexandrite (natural) ring. The stone is a .53 ct Brazilian. The setting is called a cloud setting. The color change goes from this teal / green color to a purple/ red color. I am thrilled with this ring. But I will admit, I have never had a stone this small so it was a bit shocking when I saw it after it was made. IMG_5334.jpeg IMG_5333.jpeg

I love it, @3Guapas! That's a creative way to set it, too -- and I may steal it. (The design; not the ring!) Mine is too small to bezel-set (which is my preferred way) and all the prong settings look too delicate -- but to "float" a pronged mounting above a wider band, cloud-style, is a great compromise and a great look!

Do you have a side view or a view looking "down" the finger...?

Wow your ring is gorgeous! Love the bold gold design it really brings out the beauty of your stone! I've always been into alexandrites and I believe that half a carat is a pretty good size since it's such a rare gem:)

That’s a great setting for a small stone.
