My new 3 carat AGS ideal

I finally got my upgrade. I love it! The only thing I'm trying to get used to are the prongs. I've always had four prongs so the six is an adjustment and they look thicker to me. The setting is a Tiffany style . Specs on diamond are 3.00 I si1 AGS ideal0.
Also, I mentioned this on a separate thread. The HCA numbers don't come back great but from everything I've read, AGS trumps HCA any time. I just got it yesterday so I'm trying to get used to the newness....I will get used to the color....it's barely noticeable , I'm wondering about the prongs

i have dream envy! it's beautiful! as to the prongs, it's a get used to thing I guess, if they bug you a lot perhaps you can get them make thinner? none the less, I love your ring!!!!!

Thanks! I just can't tell if they are big or not. I suppose I can go to Tiffany and see a comparison side by side. I think it's just me being silly.

Your diamond is incredible! I think they made the ends of the prongs too bulky. Unfortunately, most jewelers just don't read PS and know the kinds of prongs we like! I am attaching a picture of my Vatche Tiffany repro so you can see how nice and small they made the prongs on top. You could show it to your jeweler and tell him that is what you expect. I hardly see my prongs in real life viewing.

Who is the vendor that set your diamond? Depending on who the vendor is, I would or would not recommend having them shave down the prongs.

Ugh. I'm going to try getting my jelwer to shave them down. I bought it here in town and just feel like they are a tiny bit too bulky. Feel weird bringing back in but I want to be happy with what I have ya know. It does look a lot like the Tiffany setting but just not sold on the prongs. Will post more pics later.

Pretty ring - can you tell us the specs of the diamond? They can shave those prongs down if they are too big for your liking!

So I brought it in and they worked on it. I think it looks better. What do you all think?

Yes it is 3.04 carat weight. I color si1. I think the mm is 9.20 would have to go look. It is huge though and I could go no bigger without feeling weird. The prongs were shaved down a bit and I think it looks much better. Of course, I can't stop staring at it! Good news is, at least it was only the setting I was worried about. I love the diamond. Especially in the grocery store. Beautiful there at all angles ! Here are some more pics. I have a problem. My son just walked past and shook his head at me.
