My new 2 ct BGD Tiffany solitaire!

Thanks Reader, I call my diamond the "ugly duckling" because it's an EGL Israel, which doesn't get too much respect here on PS. Still, I think it cleans up nice in it's new setting! :naughty:

I got my bands at all different times - I just got the sapphire & diamond band from ID Jewelry a few months ago as a baby gift when I had my second son, the WF shared-prong eternity is from my 3rd wedding anniversary last year (but I'll probably wear it most with the ering) and the asscher channel-set band is my original wedding band from 2006 (it's from Blue Nile but I had Quest add milgrain to it last year).

What a beautiful makeover. It's timeless, classic and elegant and the new setting is a wonderful showcase for your stone. It's amazing what a change in setting can make to the look of a stone. Well done!!!!!

When I heard that you finally decided on a reset and it was such a simple change, I was a little like, "Oh Vesper!" ;))

But now I see the new setting and the difference is TOTALLY noticable. I really love the 6 prong look, and the delicacy of the prongs. It looks better with all your bands, too.

Ha! :lol: You're right - just before I opened the box I was worried that I would feel like, "I can't believe that I spent X dollars for a ring that doesn't look that different from my old ring" but it was such a different more delicate look that I am just in love with it. Even DH liked it better, and I thought for sure he would think it was silly to get another solitaire, but he said that he really loves the 6-prong too, and also mentioned that he thought it was more feminine & delicate.

Vesper it's gorgeous! I'm a four prong girl myself, but I may be converted after seeing how tiny and unobtrusive your prongs are! The diamond really pops!
 
It is quite an improvement and while I knew it would be a different look, I too was surprised at how much better it looks!

I think it was a good choice and it does look good with all of your bands. Enjoy every moment of it - I'm so glad to hear that you are so pleased with it!

If you get bored (with two little ones) you know we won't mind seeing more pictures! :lol:

Thanks! I usually wear a 5 but ordered this a 5.25 since I just had a baby & still have some weight to lose, and I didn't want it to feel too tight. I figure that I can always get it sized down if it gets too big.

Hey DS, I believe it's plat950. That's what I think is stamped inside the ring, but it's so tiny it's hard to see.

vesper, it is absolutely STUNNING! I just love the head on B&L's six prong Tiffany. It's so well done. And I guess I never saw the pics of the side view of your Verragio. I was just used to seeing your ring in your avatar. What a tremendous difference! I absolutely love it. It's beautiful! and I do like the advantage of being able to wear any band you choose for the day.

Your ring has convinced me to set my loose diamond into a six prong, so I can wear it until I have the funds for the custom home I'm planning for it.
