My lovely Etoile Solitaire is finally on my finger!

Hello everybody:

Just wanted to share my lovely engagement ring. My fiance proposed this past Saturday. We picked the ring together so it was not a surprise but it was still the most amazing moment.

I wanted a very low bezel setting so I looked here for suggestions and found the Etoile. The first time I saw it I fell in love with it instantly and we went to see it at the store. Just for comparison we checked a few more stores, since FI was not keen on buying online, but we could not find a style that I liked more than the Etoile.

The specs are:
Round Cut .25 E, VS2.
Size 4

Since the thickness of the shank matched the size of the diamond, we wanted a small diamond so that the shank was delicate enough for my size 4 finger.

We find the ring just beautiful and perfect for my hand. I can''t stop looking at it!

Congratulations!! I love your ring and it looks just beautiful on your hand. I have always thought that the Etoile has a unique and elegant look. In fact, I have two yellow gold Etoile band rings -- one with diamonds and one with sapphires -- that I often wear stacked.

I will work on an outside hand shot this weekend since the one I posted has some weird light (my nails are not actually purple in person

).

DiamondLil, I tried on the ering with the Etoile band, which I also like, but the two together look a bit thick on my finger. I am leaning towards a very thin gold band right now but I''ll have to try a few others to see if there is one that goes better with it.

Etoile is one of my favourite designs also - at least according to pictures. (I have never had a chance to visit Tiffany''s - Unfortunately we don''t have one here in Finland).
