My little e-ring!

Hi everyone,

After a 3 month search, we finally located an engagement ring that was within our budget AND that looked good on my finger! The ring is being re-sized from a 7 to a 5.5, and we''ll be picking it up this Thursday. I don''t have any specs on it besides the ring is 14K white gold and the center stone is a princess. I believe it''s around 1/3 of a carat, but I don''t know the total carat weight. The jeweler is giving us the specs when we pick up the ring. I''m so excited! I never thought I would find a beautiful ring within our budget of $1500

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I''ve been lurking and posting on PS for a while now, and although I have "Big Rock Envy", my fiancee and I aren''t quite there yet in terms of our pocketbook!

To answer the questions re: wedding band, the wedding band is actually the second set of shanks that are closest to my palm and appear more tapered. The wedding band is one of those "curved to fit" types, and actually looks really strange all by its lonesome, since it has a basket-shape to it which allows the band to fit flush against the engagement ring.

The set is from Simon & Golub, or Simon Golub & Sons -- I tried to find pictures of it online, but was unsuccessful. The manufacturer name came up in these two different forms, so I thought I would share.
