IMG_5257.JPG ...found this in my papers recently. Deed to a square foot of the diamond mine in Pike County, Arkansas
given to my dh in 1958.
Seriously, a whole square foot! I'm pretty sure that's where I'll find the next big one.
:lol-2:

Love it! You better get down there right away with your shovel and pick!

Years ago, I was introduced to a new co-worker who began flirting with me, to the point of irritation.
In conversation, he said "Did I tell you that I own a diamond mine?"
I said "That's the best pickup line I ever heard!" Of course I didn't believe him.
He then proceeded to call his girlfriend, with whom I was acquainted, and had her confirm for me over the phone to prove it! What a weirdo.
Turns out that his grandfather was in South Africa in the 40's and bought some property that was near a mine, or part of a mining operation. Somehow over the years, he lost the rights to mine it, and long story short, there's only a piece of paper now.
But I still maintain that it was the best pickup line ever.

And if not diamonds, maybe oil????

Do I have your permission to post that on the crater of diamonds FB page? They would get a kick out of it.

:lol:Can you dig it?
