The first two are from Wink (have to check with him to see if they could be modified to fit a RB)

This one is from James Meyer. I had contacted him before about another style (#1227) when I was looking for settings for my .53, but now that I have a bigger stone, this setting might be better.

I''ve got bezel/halo settings on my mind!

Amazing colors!
This is the money shot to me and shows why I love the lower colour grades so much, the '' antique white'' like old lace and the pastel colours shooting off it.....

This is a truly beautiful stone! It photographs as the perfect shade of sparkly warm candlelight. I''m excited to see what you decide on, setting-wise. I''m a huge fan of bezels, so that''s my vote. Keep us posted!

STUNNING Sara! gorgeous Diamond! I''m happy for your upgrade and it will look fantastic either way you go!

The diamond is gorgeous!
I would go with this setting, it looks so lovely antique...

I have to say that of the settings posted, I like the same one as Queen Mum.

I like the octogon and the James Meyer.

The diamond may look whiter if you set it in yellow gold. I don''t know whether you want to make it look whiter or yellower. I love the rich warm color, myself.

Thanks, everyone for being excited for me.

Lorelei and FireMonkey, your descriptions of the color are great! That''s what I tried to capture in the photos.

QueenMum and Jet, the setting you both liked is the one I keep coming back to. It looks antique, but also comfortable to wear, and if Wink could have it set in a flat bezel instead of prongs, I might be in heaven!

I like the setting that Queen Mum choose! My halo has prongs and you can barely see them. Are you 100% wanting a bezel set ring? I would definitely go bezel with the James Meyer setting, but I do like the prongs on the antique setting. Just my .02

Very nice ring!!!!!

Thanks, princessplease!

Risingsun, I'm okay with prongs if they are small and work with the overall design. It's the square-ish shape of the ring that I really like. Your prongs are very elegant on your halo -- I looked at your pictures and they are barely there!

Glitterata, The engraving on the octogon ring appeals to me more than the engraving on the other filigree ring. And I do like the octogan shaped bezel. I'm still thinking white bezel/prongs in a yellow gold setting.

But I change my mind a million times! I loved my Vatche setting, but it feels too modern for the color of this stone.

I really think this stone will look lovely--and appropriate--in whatever setting you choose, antique or modern.

Hi Sara,
I really love that M. It shoots lots of warm fire. Thank you for taking the picture and sharing it with us. I am always curious about Wink''s lower color diamond but I have not the courage to venture that far yet.
Let us know which setting you end up with. I can''t wait. I am so excited for you.

I really think the James Meyer bezel would look perfect. Ths stone would be the star but as the setting has an antique feel, and in that color, it would compliment your stone beautifully.

With the others, i focus more on the setting than the stone.

Love the new stone Sara, yay for M's !

I vote a bezel in lovely 18k YG - similar to the one you posted, this
is my fave JM in that kinda style:

eta: oh whoops, just saw your other thread that you've chosen a setting.
Congrats!

Hi, Joelly, elle_chris, and arjunajane, Thanks for your compliments -- I just love my M! It was hard to pick a setting because the M is a chameleon (which is what I love about it).

Joelly, be brave! It''s worth it! The lower colors might not be everyone''s first choice for an engagement ring, but they have a beauty all their own. Plus, they are an incredible value (for now!)

Elle and Arjunajane, yes, I am still in love with that James Meyer bezel setting, and if my friend''s jeweler (where I found the Beverly-K-type setting) can''t re-size the ring and adjust the prongs, I will order a James Meyer bezel.

But either way, a James Meyer bezel may be in my future, because my sister recently gave me my grandmother''s OEC (approximately 30 - 40 pts.) which is set in a modern solitaire setting with two tiny French cut sapphires, so I need to have that reset, and I think his bezel styles would work so well with this little OEC! But that''s another project...I still have to figure out what to do with my Vatche Royal Empress setting that my .53 Infinity was in. I spoke to Wink about setting it with a blue topaz (my birthstone).

So many jewelry projects, so little time ! and money !!!
