My beloved auntie gifted me these beautiful diamond and platinum earrings. She received them on her wedding day from her MIL, so I am very honored that she has passed them on to me.

The earrings are wonderfully sparkly and three-dimensional. In the second pic you can see that the stones are not a good match at all--the stone on the left has an open culet, and the stone on the right looks to be a poorly cut modern RB. One is also noticeably more tinted than the other, although I can't remember which one! It's amazing how you can't see any of these differences when they are worn on the ear.

I was inspired by all of the five-stone rings on PS to place them next to the 1.06 RB in my ER :naughty:

What a beautiful design! Do you know how old they are?

Your e-ring is beautiful too, by the way!

Love the earrings! That's the beauty of earring stones - no one sees them too close up so the stones don't have to be top notch.

Beautiful design though and how special that they came from family. Enjoy - they look great next to your ering too!

a wonderful, special gift! I gasped when I scrolled down to the picture with your e-ring!

they look beautiful on your ear!

ooooh!!! PURDY!!! Those are great earrings- I love that they are different and have that family history! And they look fantastic on you - perfect size for your ears - how wonderful your aunt gifted you with these - wear in health and happiness!

Oh, they're really lovely! They really are the perfect size for your ears, they look beautiful on you! Love 'em!

Those are gorgeous and unique, I love the way they look on your ears!

Beautiful earrings. Love the design. It has certainly aged well.

Enjoy wearing your new (old) beauties. :appl:

Those are so pretty! I'd be curious to see the earring turned the other way (metal side down but on the opposite ear). Have you tried it that way?

So pretty!

Oh, my, they are beautiful! You must be thrilled to be able to wear family history on your ears. I love that they don't match perfectly. That's the beauty of heirloom jewels, I think: the individual characteristics of each stone (like each person in a family...) adds to specialness of the set.
I hope wearing these earrings bring back wonderful memories for you every time you put them on!

 They are stunning, I just love them!! And your e-ring is exquisite!!!!!

HI:

How wonderful! Wear them in health!

cheers--Sharon

So gorgeous!

Thank you all for your kind words. :wavey: I love that these earrings are different and, of course, that I am the third generation to wear them. It is so much fun to be able to share with all of you!

That was my first thought, too. I've found that, because of the way the post is positioned, they sit best on the ear metal side up. Too bad because I like to have options!

Fantastic earrings!!!

Simply gorgeous! Congrats!
