Thanks for the great complements. I wanted to post an update. We received our bands and I love them. I might take some better pics later, but here''s a basic one for now. Looking at the enlarged images, I noticed some very teensy pitting on the top of my band (on the lower right hand side of the 3rd diamond from the left). It''s almost impossible to see with the naked eye, but it''s there. Green Lake has offered to repair it if I send it back. I wanted to ask the more experienced members if this is just a minor blemish or will it actually affect the ring''s durability and appraisal value? It almost doesn''t bother me, but I think I''m just reluctant to send it back again after waiting 4 months for it to be finished.
OH WOW! These are gorgeous, just gorgeous!
I am not sure what to tell you about the pitting since I cannot see it myself. I would probably want it fixed myself, but the wait would be a killer.
I did end up sending my band back for repairs. I got it back two days ago and it looks perfect now, so sparkly. I cheated and wore it with the e-ring all day yesterday because they look so pretty together and I couldn''t bear to take it off
I finally did though and now it''s safely back in it''s box. For those who didn''t see them, I previously posted photos of the 3 ring set above.
We''re planning an elopement/destination wedding for 7/17/10 on the CA Central Coast. We can''t wait!
Lynn B, how cool that you like hammered jewelry too! It doesn''t seem like there are a lot of us. Besides looking a little rustic, which I like, it''s also very lively. I love the way it''s always catching the light, kind of like rippling water.
Thank you, luckyeshe
We''re really enjoying them. Now that I''ve learned so many new things about jewelry, I have even more appreciation for it than before.
