In honor of my Great-Grandparents' June 14th Wedding Anniversary, I'm sharing my Great-Grandmother's Aquamarine Ring, set in Platinum.
I've loved this ring since I was a little girl and now that it has made it's way to my jewelry box I truly treasure it <3 More than anything though, I love how it makes me feel connected to ancestors & my beloved family <3

You can actually feel the weight of the past (a sort of magic all it's own,very powerful)that an heirloom brings. Probably one of the best feelings ever.
My great grandpa's ring is a literal part of me.

Thank you! I find myself drawn to the older cuts more so than modern cuts, there is just something about them that I prefer. The craftsmanship astounds me, and the care given to hand-make everything back then.

Thank you so much! : ) Aquamarine just happens to be my birthstone. I'm told that when I was born in March, it was decided that I would inherit the ring. I love the color too, it's such a dreamy blue.

Very true indeed! My sister is having her wedding ceremony this Fall and will be wearing this ring as her "something old, something borrowed, AND something blue" : )
And it's a very special way of including and honoring both our Great-Grandmother & our Grandmother who each wore the ring during their lifetime <3

The setting is just so unique, I've actually considered having it replicated (or something very similar) and having a diamond set in the replica bc that's how much I love the setting lol. I'd never alter the original though, it's too special.
