My Grandmother''e engagement ring

I finally pulled my grandmother''s engagement ring out of the safe deposit box and had it sized. I don''t have any details, but can guess that it was purchased in the 30''s. It appears to be an OEC (not sure), probably around .50 tcw. What is really interesting is that the ring was altered later in my grandmother''s life so that she could fit it over her very arthritic knuckle. If anyone knows anymore about the setting, I would love to hear.

I dont know much about your ring, but i just did the same thing.. i have had my grandmothers ring for a long time but i hadn''t had it resized. Her ring was so large on me that it was to large for my thumb. It now serves as a right hand ring. I love it so much! I will have to get a picture on here, It looks very art deco. the center stone is a G VS1, only about a .2 carat, so it is small but she shines like the dickens! then it has two rows of 3 diamonds on each side of the center stone...

Beautiful ring! Are there little loops on either side of the center diamond? I love grandmothers erings!!! I used the side diamonds from mine for my wedding band.
