Hi Ladies,

I would like to share some of the picture of my gemstone collection, it may be tiny bitties..but some are my creation. I like to wear my jewelry according to my mood and occasion, so it has to be versatile and flexible. Some of the collection are detachable and interchangeable...here it goes... feel free to comment.

treebean : thank you for your compliment! it is not only versatile, but also get to save some cost by just making the main stone part then making the whole earrings...Can change any shapes or any gemstones or any colors you like for the day!

BTW, did you know your face is visible in a mirror reflection?
It is on the left side of the third pic, just below the pink Morganite earrings.

I love how versatile your earrings are, and what great combinations you've been able to put together. Since I'm a bit of a nitwit, can you clarify the pieces you have that make your earrings interchangeable? To my untrained eye it looks like:

Earring jackets that have a loop at the bottom (that you sometimes use as an extender when you put it through the hoop)
Hoop earrings
Earring dangles that have a hook so you can put it through a small hole (like the one on the earring jackets)
Diamond link with a small loop at the bottom to connect the dangles
Studs (like the morganites)

How do you get the diamond link to connect to the studs? Or is there a small loop at the top of the link as well so that it's sort of like an earring jacket?

Also, if you don't mind my asking, how big is the whole in your earring jackets for it to be able to go over (into) your hoops?

And if I'm using any of the wrong terminology or am completely off base, please let me know. Thanks for posting this!

ETA: Can we get pictures of you wearing these beauties?

ETA2: What size hoops are these? And again, if any of these questions are too personal or insulting, please disregard. I just love your combos so much that I'd love to create something similar.

Austen : I am quite confused by which earring jacket you are talking about. Basically I made a pair of moonstone earrings which all parts are detachable. Initially I thought I just want to make the bottom part (pear moonstone) detachable so that I could change any shapes or any gemstone as I like. But when playing with it... I notice that the middle part which is the round part, it could fits in my 0.3carats diamond studs. So I get another different looks of the same earrings..As for the morganites...I think picture speaks thousand words... The diamond earrings jacket you saw on the pearl are different from the one you see on the moonstone earring...

I would love to show your the model picture, it takes some times for me to sort it out. Give me some time...i will post the photo soon.

I love the moonstone pears the best, but all are lovely. The versatility of the design is wonderful! I am working on a collection of earring charms, but what ideas you have, they are so creative.

Austen : do you mean the diamond hoops or huggies that are taken together with those pearls if I am not wrong?
those hoops or huggies are my daily wear earrings, i wear them all the times... Until One day I purchased some loose pearls, and instead of usual pearl studs, I thought I could make them into pearl dangle with existing diamond hoops or huggies. there were 4mm and 2.5 to 3mm each. I gave the measurement to my jeweller, and he estimated it and made the loop for me to fit my diamond hoops or huggies earrings. Because the loop is big enough, I tried wearing it with my diamond earring jackets and studs, it fits well and nice and the loop is unnoticeable.

Thanks for the additional description and pictures. They were extraordinarily helpful! I'm sorry if my description of your items were confusing. Your huggies is what I was calling your hoops. The earring jacket was the circle which you put through your huggies from which you hung your moonstones (as well as did other things with your jackets). I don't want to talk too much since I might just make things more confusing, but I completely understood your subsequent posts which have been extremely helpful. Thanks, and looking forward to those model pictures!

Austen: you are most welcome! Just to clarify the huggies you see hung on the moonstone earrings are different from the huggies you see on those pearls...Those pearls one are much thicker in term of width. Hopefully you got something like this to play around with your accessories. It definitely is much more fun then a normal still design.

Laura: thank you for the compliment. The original design(the moonstone together with morganite) mechanism is much simpler and nicer, but my jeweller are not able to make it.He said to make the design i wanted cost more and needs volumn/quantity, it is impossible to make loose unit.
