I had this pendant made a few years back but was unable to post pictures of it. But now that I can, here''s a few. If I recall correctly, it''s a 5ish carat umba garnet cut by Gene. The setting was done by Peter Lees.

This was taken without a flash and makes the gold look pink when it''s actually yellow.

That's a beautiful stone, and I love that fun setting!

ETA I just checked out Peter Lees' website -- what wonderful innovative designs! Thanks for introducing me to this designer....

As soon as I saw that, I knew it was a Gene stone. He loves to do those funky cool cuts! Gorgeous!!

That is lovely!!

That is so nice. I really love the way the stone is held - it looks effortlessly beautiful.

Beautiful! I love the unique cut on the stone! It makes for a very beautiful and one of a kind pendant!

Thanks all. I knew when I got the stone I wanted it set with as much of the stone showing as possible. When I came across Peter Lees via the AGTA Spectrum awards and saw this same design only with a 3 sided stone I knew it was the setting for me.

Beautiful stone and a very unique setting! I don''t think I''ve ever seen one like that before.

What a pretty setting! I immediatley thought of a starfish. The garnet is gorgeous!

So cool and unique! I bet you get a lot of comments when you wear it!

Kismet, what a truly unique and beautiful pendant, and I adore this designer!
That aura pendant of his is such a great idea.
Thankyou for the eyecandy!

Very pretty.

Beautiful! Love the color and cut!

Thank you all. The pictures don''t really do it justice either.

So unique. Do you have a back view of the setting? I''m curious to see how it''s done.

It''s tension set actually. The only place the setting touches the stone are at those five points. You can see the side view on Peter''s site here.

Thanks for the link. That''s exactly what I wanted to see; I was curious if the 5 "arms" met together at one point or if they met at a circle/star at the back.

What a fantastic piece! I love the color and cut!

Lovely! I''d love to see a neck shot!

Wow, try to ignore the fat, wrinkly neck. Also, my bathroom lighting makes things look a bit yellow.

What a cool pendant! Love the stone, and that pendant is so whimsical and fun!

What a cool design! Beautiful stone too!

Kismet,
Another curious question. Have you worn the pendant with the chain going through 2 "arms"? How does the look change?

Kismet,

You know, I don''t think I have. I''ll have to give it a try when I get home.

Hrm, I don''t think it changes the look all that much.
