My Garnet E-Ring...It's finally done! Pics

Hello again,

Thanks again to everyone for all your input and guidance while I searched for my stone and figured out how I wanted to set it for my "Engagement-ring" (I'm already married). I was very nervous the whole way through, as it's my very first custom piece and it's an important one!!

...Well.... I was just sent pictures of my completed ring, it's done! Because of all the wonderful help I have gotten from this site (both from posting, and from lurking), I thought I ought to post a pic or two.

So what felt like an endless wait, it arrived today!

Pictures do not do this ring justice!!! I have to admit, I was *a little* worried about the color with the stone set from the vendor pics. But, when I opened it up a few minutes ago... Oh my goodness!!

Here are some of my own pics that I just hastily took from my iphone. Again, so difficult to capture in a photo but the pics look a bit closer to reality (at least to my untrained eye).

I had actually wondered the same thing. I went to buy a really gorgeous purple garnet from one of the vendors on the list, and he told me I'd be better off not doing that. Which realllyyyyy disappointed me, as I loved the color of that stone. Mine is also for an engagement ring. OP taking the leap is making me wonder if that purple Garnet is still available...
