This ring was hand crafted for my grandmother, she gave it to me a couple years ago and I have been meaning to replace the center stone but just never got around to it. I am thinking a yellow diamond? What stone do you think would look nice inside?

I think it would be beautiful with a cornflower blue sapphire in it.

How pretty and special that it''s handmade by your grandmother!! I think a yellow diamond would get lost in the free-form flower. I think a deep colored gemstone would stand out very nicely, though.

I was afraid of that, what about a blue diamond? (I love diamonds) :)

i vote for a ruby or other red stone!

Wow, it''s beautiful! She did very nice work!! I think a hot pink or magenta sapphire would look beautiful! A green tsavorite would look great too!

Wow, this ring is beautiful! I love it !!

I think anything would be lovely in the center (because it''s even lovely with nothing there!)-- get what you want!
a yellow diamond would look gorgeous! (or blue, or white, or pink, or any diamond

Love this idea, or a blue diamond!

That is a beautiful ring! I vote for a little ruby, but really anything would look pretty.

The ring is beautiful!! I said "ruby" as soon as I saw it. I thought it would really play off the richness of the gold.

Pink diamond. The gold is so rich and warm looking it''ll look fabulous.

What a pretty ring, it has such a ''happy'' look to it!
I think that whatever you chose will look beautiful, but I would pick a pink sapphire.

Pink and blue natural diamonds will be expensive compared to a white diamond or a gemstone. I do like the idea of a sapphire, ruby, or emerald. Or what about the birthstone of your grandmother?

Beautiful ring!! I think a ruby would be absolutely stunning in it!

Gorgeous! A ruby would be lovely--oh there are so many colored stones to choose! Malaya garnet?

Beautiful ring~~ I think tsavorite will look nice!!

Oh my that is a lovely setting!

I''m leaning towards either something deep red, or something pink (I like the Malaya suggestion).

Very lovely, love the details!!!

That ring is a true work of art! I would go for either a red gemstone or a blue one. I really like the idea of a cornflower blue sapphire as someone suggested before the most. So long as there is a good contrast between the metal and the stone I think you will be all set!

Very pretty. I like the blue diamond idea.

i''d use a pearl (can you get kicked off this group for saying that??) i think it would be a nice play against the side diamonds.

either way - that is one gorgeous ring - some real artistry there!

very nice :)

that''s beautiful

Something like this?

I''m loving the red against the gold. I vote ruby!

Its lovely. I would put a ruby in it.

It`s soooo pretty.

It reminds me of the flowers in the Enid Blighton books, you know, where the garden fairies used to play.

I can see a soft colored stone like a light pink or pale green or even a diamond or even the one we cant mention.

I love everything about this ring! Is the other side completely smooth, like the shanks look to be?

After seeing the photoshop I say ruby
