Thanks to Pricescope that I have another site to shop from: Swala Gems!
This little baby, a 2.19ct top colour tsavorite is coming to me very soon. I was hoping for something between 3 to 5 carats but they are not available so I have requested Eric to lookout.
This is my first green garnet and I am looking forward to it. I am also hoping that you would give me some ideas to set this into a ring. As some of you may know, I do like over the top jewelry!

SS,
I can’t wait to see this tsavorite; the colour looks yummy in the picture. I know the coloured gems market aren’t like diamonds, but I do wish they have upgrade policies so we can keep upgrading when the right stone shows up until we get the colour and size we want.

Very pretty, looks very slightly bluish green. Halo!! Yes, I''m predictable.

That color is divine!

I vote 3 stone ring! mmmm...light blue pear sapphires as sidestones?

Wow that stone just demands your attention! I just hope that if you go with a multistone project that the others won''t get jealous.

I wish that too Chrono. A nice 5 carat Tsavorite would be real nice..

What kind of halo? I prefer not to have a tame one, would like a louder design. Can you tell that I like big rings?

Hmm, this idea got me thinking about other coloured stones as sides. I reckon they will be quite hard to obtain..

The colour reminds me of Chrono''s gorgeous electric Tsav! WOW! Yummy!

I don’t think I have a thread dedicated to my tsavorite but I have pictures of it interspersed in CS here and there. Unfortunately with the search function down, I cannot look for any links but I hope this glamour shot will suffice.

This is a picture I took myself for comparison.

It looks beautiful, & am sure it will be IRL too - look forward to lots of photos when you get it.

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks Chrono, wow that is a gorgeous tsavorite! The picture you took shows the colour much better. What are the specs? Did you get that from Swala too?

fabulous shade of green!

Thanks SS. It’s a 2.15 ct tsavorite from Swala that measures 7 mm.

Oh I really really like the color of that stone!! Hope it''s stunning in person!

Lovely stone. Being on PS has me really loving Tsavorites.

SimplySplendid congratulations, I''m envious. How did you choose which one ? When I look at Swala''s Tsavorites they all look so similar in colour. They''re all ( the best ones I mean ) absolutely beautiful, I''m not dissing them at all, I would love to have one of them, yet they do seem to be quite uniform in colour. Perhaps they just keep the best to present on their own website?

Beautiful colour!

Thanks for sharing, Chrono. Have you set it yet? If not, do you plan to?

Thanks stonehunter, oddone out and loving gems. I just checked ups.com, the tsavorite has arrived and it is at the airport now. I think it should be on my hands later today or tomorrow.

Thanks klewis..

I wanted an oval shape so I started from there, ideally 3-5 carats, and top colour. That size was not available currently so I looked at those in the 2 carat range. I saw a couple but the other one was sold. This one also appears to have no window from the picture. In terms of colour, I must admit I am trusting the description on the website a lot when I made a decision. It said "Top of the crop Tsavorite [REGARDLESS of what your computer screen shows.] This gem is part of a parcel of top coloured tsavorites. This hue is pure green, not to dark, not too light. Perfect! Tsavorites from this parcel are all highly recommended....".

Perhaps those from the same parcel looks the same. I saw some that were not described as from the same parcel and their colours do look different.

I love it, such a gorgeous green-hand wait to see hand shots:-)

SS - Has the package arrived yet? I hope you are happy with your stone!
Swala have access to fantastic quality tsavs, so I'm sure yours is a stunning piece.

I recently got a small tsav from Swala also, though mine's slightly lighter toned (& not from the same parcel as yours), which is what I specifically asked for. And I'm really happy with my stone.

klewis - If you are interested in Swala's tsavs, you should definitely contact Eric@Swala & ask if he has any stone in your spec - apparently, a lot of their stones are not online. Eric is really nice, and quick to respond to your queries/ request for additional photos etc.
