It’s just under 6 mm and I love it. Origin is Ceylon and I should get it in a few weeks.
Is this what you guys call cornflower blue?
Really lovely....petite but mighty! Such a rich color. I love the simple setting idea so that you can also stack it with bands and other rings.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Stunning inspiration set. Personally I would not bezel your stone just to be sure. It might darken the stone a bit.
I absolutely love it! So beautiful! I wouldn’t bezel it... my experience is that it does darken the stone a bit. I think bezeling is good for light stones.
It’s lovely! I also love a simple solitaire setting for it!
What a gorgeous colour - it really pops!
Wow, congrats on your first sapphire purchase! I think you did very well, which might mean that sometimes it's better to wait to pull the trigger lol.My first sapphire was not as gorgeous as yours. Yours is a dreamy blue.
In terms of setting, I would not go with a bezel, even if it doesn't darken the stone. My thought is that prongs are just more versatile for switching out the stone, and after some years you may want more than a simple and minimalistic setting for this beauty, so if you want to upgrade the setting in the future, you can if you set her in prongs now.![]()
Wow that is gorgeous. If it is the stone I am thinking of then I think katarath hand picked it with yvonne -- so you know it will have sublime colour. Congratulatios

Your sapphire is gorgeous, Rare gem lover! To my eye, it falls between cornflower and royal blue. I had a 5 mm sapphire that was in that same color range I bought from Yvonne. Sadly it was in a ring that I sold a few months agoYes thanks to PS, another one bites the dust! I started out collecting gems with tourmalines. I decided to never look at the expensive stones like spinels and sapphires. It lasted a year. After one year thanks to an amazing cutter I got mahenge spinels. Now I have like 10 spinels of all kinds. Then I told myself ok this is it, no sapphires for you. It’s too expensive, that’s a dangerous road. And now 2 years later.... I just cleared out all my savings and here it is!

Can't wait to see how you set it!
