My first over one carat OEC - How’d I do?

While not perfect OEC symmetry, I think she’s cute and lively. How’d I do?

What’s more, the video has your location on it. It’s really safest to delete the link immediately while you’re still in the 45-minute edit window. Privacy on the internet is no joke.

The location on the video was the seller’, not mine. But I have removed. I’ll try and remove all meta data and reload when I get a moment. The photo isn’t great as it is tipped.

The pic was taken when the camera was not positioned parallel to the crown.
In other words, not looking straight down into the center of the crown such that the culet appears to be in the center of the crown when the diamond is viewed in the camera's screen.

Instead, the camera was positioned off to the side of the diamond's axis.
That makes it impossible for us to do what I think you asked for, evaluate the diamond's cut.

Can you take a pic so the camera looks straight down into the center of the table?

Then, touch the diamond gently to position it face straight up into the camera.
The camera also should be positioned so it looks straight down into the center of the diamond's table.

One thing I've tried that's worked well for me is putting some white sugar or salt in a little container, like a teaspoon.

If you don't have a tripod to hold the camera you can place the camera on top of 2 stacks of books with the diamond directly underneath the camera's lens.
Adjust height of the books as low as possible so it keeps the diamond in focus.
If the camera is too close the diamond will be out of focus.

For best results, give it a lot of patience and time.

While tastes are subjective - I do think it has potential to be a cutie!

It’ll be very interesting to hear what you think when it gets to you. Especially the estimated color.

The culet looks to be noticeably off center - and I do wonder if the photog’s choice of what angle direction to use was intentional.
Hard to also tell if one or more quadrant outlines are noticeably more cushiony vs round.

Will be curious to see what it looks like face up! Hope you come back with pictures in hand!
