My first LGD purchase-I’m so excited!

A few years ago my mom gave me her old pair of earth-mined 2ctw diamond studs (no reports but my untrained eye says they’re SI2-I1 in clarity, probably a G-H color, Good cut 6.5mm each). They’re fine but not sparkly. COVID had me craving something…more…but my wallet said nope.

Then I returned to PS after a hiatus and saw the LGD section, that vendors I’ve come to respect are now selling LGD and saw photos of purchases by real people (versus Instagram, overly lit, professional photos).

I read a bunch of your posts, articles online about aspects too look for and opinions on vendors (price vs value), and had to internalize that this may or may not have a secondary market down the road.

The budget…I was sitting on funds for a Birkin this year but inventory for a new one purchased at Hermes is super low and it may take a while to replenish. Pivot (one of my pet peeve words now, lol). My goal was to spend less than a new Birkin. Done.

James Allen
3.21 ctw, 7.5 mm each
E color (IGI report so that could mean E-F-G)
Ideal cut
Platinum scallop baskets
The sparkle is awesome!

I’m having a hard time getting good photos wearing them so that will have to wait.

These photos are indoor at night. I’ll try to get some outdoor shots soon but our weather has been iffy.

JA’s boxing was out of this world!

Congrats!!! Very pretty and sparkly indeed!

Welcome to the lab grown diamond world , what a fantastic first purchase!!! I adore how well matched the cuts are, and they are such a nice upgrade from your 2cctw. Enjoy, and thank you for sharing.
While I am sorry to hear your new Birkin won't happen as soon as anticipated, this is indeed a lovely alternate purchase!

Congrats! I love the settings you chose. Enjoy them in good health!

Thank you. These settings were an accident - I meant to pick regular 4-prong baskets but these turned out so nice!

Very nice! I like the settings a lot!

Your 6 prong studs at this carat weight seem to go together perfectly and your diamonds are astounding - well done and congrats!

Wow amazing! They look so pretty. Can’t wait to get ear shots! And more pics !

Those are gorgeous! :kiss2:
I love JA's packaging! Their boxes make purchases seem extra-special. Mine didn't come with a cat though. I feel ripped-off. :lol-2:

Beautiful diamonds and great choice of setting!

Gorgeous! I have smaller versions of the same studs, mine are 1.66 ct total weight, With same scallop setting. When they grow up they hope to be the same size as yours :)
