My first designer ring!

When I go to Florida to see my mom, we often go to the Jewelers Exchange in Boca Raton. Honestly, I am not so much caught up that this is a designer piece but I have always loved the sheer artistry of this designer, Stambolian. Harry Stambolian is his name and he and his wife moved their shop from NY's diamond district to Boca about 12 years ago. You will see his jewelry in Nieman Marcus and a few other high end jewelers in Florida. Lucky for me, I was able to negotiate with him to obtain my first piece. It is a gorgeous, deep sea green/turquoise 3.20 ct Blue Zircon set in 18k white and green gold with .90ct of vs, F diamonds.

The detail work is amazing and that zircon! The color in the FL sunlight is simply gorgeous, congrats!

Thank you all for your wonderful compliments. I live in Ohio so I can never get quite the tan I can get in Florida. 20 minutes in the Florida sun is equal to 3 hours in Ohio. Bleh..... it sure makes it nice that my mom has a beautiful pool to jump into!

My mom almost bought a ring that was like mine and was a little more stately--- it had a beautiful sapphire in it. I had to go there to get my ring repaired by another jeweler I had bought from. (the ring in my avatar had a prong totally sheared off leaving a gaping hole where it was) He gives me a lifetime guarantee and he has even repaired another ring (no charge!) Naturally, my mom and I will always do business with him! It is fun yet dangerous for us to go in there together that is for sure!
