and I''m sick as a dog! Orientation starts this afternoon at 2. I''ll be working the evening shift as a crisis intervention counselor at a crisis hotline - Yay! BUT, my nose has been flip-flopping between runny and stuffy. My throat is on fire. I''ve been taking antihistamines and Tylenol. I rested all day yesterday and slept with the vaporizer on all night, and I''m still pretty miserable. I''m going to nap a bit before I have to go in and hope for the best.

Any dust you can toss my way would be most appreciated. Starting a new job is nerve wracking enough without the added bonus of untimely illness.

Thanks!

Sending of dust! How awful to be sick on your first day! I''m sure you''ll get along fine though.

DUST! I hope you feel better soon!

Dust- I am sure once you get there your adrenaline (I can''t spell) will kick in and you will feel a lot better, but until then rest up and just be excited about your first day!

Hope you feel better soon! Good luck at your new job.

Aww, that sucks! I started a job once with what turned out to be strep throat - so I feel your pain! Hopefully if you are too miserable they will notice and keep your day short. Good luck!

Thanks for all the dust and well wishes everyone! I''m feeling a bit better. I took a long, hot bath, and have been drinking hot tea with lemon and honey. I''ll be leaving for work soon, and I''m crossing my fingers that it''s smooth sailing from here on out.

dust dust dust... hope you feel better

Oh no! That''s the worst! I hope you feel better soon!

Hope you continue to feel better - good luck!!

You poor thing!! Hope you get to feeling better soon and good luck with the job!

Thanks again everyone! My first day went very well considering waning health. I did my best to hide it, but a few staff members noticed my sniffles. I wasn''t the only sick person - turns out my supervisor has pink-eye, poor thing. Orientation was very informative and training got off to a good start. I met a lot of nice people, and I''m feeling really confident about the job. I''m looking forward to really getting situated in my new position.

Thanks again! I''m sure all of your dust helped to make the day go smoothly, and it is much appreciated!
