My favorite ring

So I finally decided to share the ring that I made with a 3.22 ct unheated ruby. I love the work, and the stone, and how it looks in every light and weather.

Meladori - thank you! I am a sucker for sapphires, as well as anything green and purple. But once upon a time, I came across a 5-ct ruby. Even as H(b), it looked great. Unheated, it would probably be in hundreds of thousands. "Pigeon blood" sounds unappetizing, and that stone had the color of ripe, juicy cherries. When I saw it, I fell in love with rubies.

I actually regret selling some of my stones. By the way, is this the ruby that you had a somewhat difficult time getting no back from a certain jeweler? If so, you're even more lucky to have this stone. The bracelet is gorgeous too. Your collection is fit for a movie star or queen.

Well, I know the feeling. Now most things are plain unaffordable. As to the ruby - yes, TL, good memory! I still have not received everything back, btw. But I think this is why there is a list of trusted vendors, and I would encourage people here to follow the PSers recommendations.

My collection is average, but as I have mentioned, PS clearly helps sharing ideas and developing one's taste.
