I''m a longtime lurker, but not by choice. I''ve been unable to post because I have a Mac, and apparently pricescope doesn''t care too much for Safari. I finally figured that Firefox would work out, and one download later, here I am, ready to show you my ring!
I received this ring last may, and our wedding is just one month away now!! He proposed in Santa Monica, on the beach, and I was floored! It''s a fancy blue asscher cut diamond set in platinum.
Center stone: irradiated blue diamond, 0.96 ctw/VS1
Trillion side stones: 0.35 ctw/H/VS2
Total carat weight: 1.31
Width of band: 2 mm
I''ve never been a fan of white diamonds or solitaires as engagement rings. My mother had a simple yellow gold band serve as both an ering and a wedding band, and my grandmother was engaged with an emerald set in yellow gold. I personally don''t care for yellow gold, and originally I wanted a sapphire or aquamarine (the latter is my birthstone). My fiance designed the ring himself and worked with a local jeweler. I love it because I''d never even heard of blue diamonds prior, and the asscher has been my favorite cut since I discovered it five years ago.
Now onto the pics!
