I recently purchased a GIA graded 1.5ct Princess (ideal cut, F colour, SI-2) from DOW, and I cannot speak highly enough of them.
After a lot of research on diamonds and browsing stock on many other competitors' websites, no one could compare to DOW's selection and price.

Of course, I had my doubts about making my first large purchase online, especially with an SI2 diamond; however, the staff was able to describe the fact that my stone eye-clean (and it is from 10 inches away, as per most major grading standards).

Most importantly, my fiancee could not be happier! I will definitely be shopping with and recommending DOW for any future diamond purchases.

Cheers!

HI:

It is my understanding that GIA does not attribute a cut grade such as "Ideal" for Princess cuts.

Glad you are happy with your experience with DOW since in your other post, Spence didn't "work" for you.

cheers--Sharon

Thanks, Sharon.

Understand what you mean - I included the 'cut' in the brackets detailing the diamond.

At any rate, it is important for people to share their experiences, and given other reviews on these forums, mine are rather consistent.

I agree reviews are important. I'm not sure why you created a poll though

I am a 'newb'. My only answer is "just for fun" ha

If you had done more research correctly, you will realize that there are indeed other vendors who can beat DiamondsOnWeb.com for their selections and prices.

Never heard of DOW

AGS has an Ideal Cut Grade for Princess Cut diamonds but GIA does not.

Did the seller tell you it was Ideal cut, did they give you papers with proportions and angles for that?

I have never heard of this company until reading your post here.

This is interesting. Pricescope was the place I initially heard of this company.
All I can say is that I had a positive experience with them. Jamesallen.com was another online vendor that I was considering, but bluenile was never an option due to higher prices (when compared to similar diamonds I was looking for).

Yes, proportions were given. Thanks for the info about AGS!

I really like them too. My original diamond came from them and all of my upgrades too. They have a great upgrade policy. They will provide pictures of their stones upon request.

Neither have I, took the time to sneak a peak....huh 'Diamonds on Web gemologists' grade the cut? No links to lab reports, No pictures, No Idealscopes, not very much info.

They sell their own H&A's, wonder what that criteria is.

Lab reports are provided on majority of GIA-graded diamonds with photos for some. Click 'GIA' under grading column for the diamond you wish to view. Also, if no pic is provided online, e-mail or call and they will provide them.

Cheers!
