I was surfing ebay this evening and spur of the moment I bid on this eternity ring and I can't believe I won! It is 1.0 ctw european cut stones (says VS1-SI1, F-G colour). I hope it looks as good IRL as in these ebay pictures. :appl: :appl:

Hoooo! Seem beautiful! I don't know what they would say by european cut but I don't think it's old european cut.

Can't wait to see this beauty in your finger! Don't forgot piiiiiiiiiiiics! :appl:

I also won an eternity ring on ebay. It looked beautiful online, but when it got here I couldn't believe
how super thin it was-- around 1.5mm. You could barely see the stones they were so small. I was disappointed
beyond words.

I so hope yours is all you hope it will be.

The description said it was 3.3 mm wide and just over 3 grams of 14K white gold so I believe it will have some substance. (at least I hope) There are 23 stones totalling 1.0 ctw so I would assume they are all about .043 ct each. It did say that it was an art deco piece and not a reproduction so I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed. The price was very good but they do have a 100% satisfaction guarantee so I can return it without question if I'm not happy with it.

Very nice...please post pics when you get it!

Ooo, I love your Ebay win too! Can't wait to see hand pics. :appl:

Sounds like you are getting a really nice ring. The one I got had something like 35 stones in it! Of course
that was never mentioned in the description :nono:

It looks like it's more like '40s/'50s, though it could be older. But if you got a deal and it's lovely who cares! I love that style of eternity. It does look like it'll be substantial.

Oh and definitely check those prongs when it arrives- older pieces sometimes have a *lot* of wear, you don't want to lose a stone that would be though to match! (For all that they say PT doesn't lose metal- wear it every day for 50 years, it definitely will.)
