My ebay Beverley K. STEAL!!! 18k Floral Vine band, yippee!

Okay, I just need to start off by saying that I have **drooled** over this exact ring for AGES - obsessed over pictures of it, wanted it, searched high and low for lesser imitations of it, ANYTHING for this beautiful ring! Something about the gorgeous details - the feminine floral design, the tiny yet sparkly diamonds, the perfect miniature milgrain... this ring was sheer perfection to me! My ***dream*** right-hand ring! SO imagine my utter delight when I stumbled upon this ring on ebay with only a couple of hours left on the auction... could it be...???

No maker's mark was identified in the auction, and unfortunately there wasn't time to email the seller... I had my hopes, my suspicions... I felt like I knew this ring's details so well, from the pictures being so high-quality I could see that this ring was definitely either a real Beverley K., or a top-notch copy (the milgraining was so clean, the diamonds seemed bright & white, the beads holding the diamonds in were well-formed and even, and the band was solid and not hollowed out on the inside)... anyway, I was 99.8% sure it was an original Beverley K.! So I took the plunge and bid at the very last second - and won!!! For about 1/8 the price I would have paid on the MSRP for a brand-new ring

Fast forward a week, and I have my ring... and sure enough, it's stamped on the inside with that telltale "bkc" and BK beverley K. trademark stamp - it's the real deal!!!!! It is 18k yellow gold, which was not have been my first choice, but the warm, buttery shade of yellow is sort of growing on me - and the diamonds really pop against the color of the metal! I may still decide to have it heavily rhodium-plated sometime in the future, but for now, like I said, I'm digging the yellow more than I thought I would!

I'm so happy - these kinds of lucky finds **never** happen to me!

PS - yellow gold is really tricky to photograph!!! This was my first attempt and jeez it is so much more difficult (it seems) to really capture the beauty of a piece in yellow as opposed to white metal!

Many a time I''ve admired another PS-er''s great ebay/antique shop/lucky find and been envious myself... just goes to prove in a lovely way that there''s plenty of luck to go around for all of us!!!

In other news... UGH I am so dissatisfied with my (craptastic!) pictures I''ve taken!!! At the risk of sounding pathetic, yellow gold is **really** difficult to photograph nicely! I''m going to try again tomorrow morning - hopefully if the sun comes out - and we''ll see if I''m better able to do justice to this truly beautiful ring design!
