My early VD''s gift!

Hi!

Just thought of sharing my early VD''s gift with all of you... actually the package just arrived today (My mum received it at home) while I am stuck here in the office!

anyway, I am totally excited and cant wait to go back and see it!!!

Its a 6.5mm pink tourmaline in Sally''s gorgeous lotus setting (I just had to get one after seeing all the lovely lotuses on here!!!).

Attached is a picture by Sally! Hopefully the picture is accurate! I just cant wait to go home now!

Sally is definitely a joy to work with! This ring is actually a ready-made ring listed in her shop on Etsy. Sally said that she had purchased the pink tourmaline 1 year ago, but had only recently put it into the lovely setting. When I saw the colour & the cut, I just had to "pester" my FI to get it for me! He did promise to get me something nice if its within the budget!

The real stone itself is slightly darker (but still a really gorgeous purpliesh pink color!!!!), really bright, clean & well cut. Well, at least I think that it is well-cut.... what sort of cut do you colored stones experts think it is? It looks like it has multiple arrows shooting out from the centre... is this what they call a concave cut??? i really have no idea!

and yes, it is so difficult NOT to start wearing it TODAY!!! FI wouldnt allow it tho.
