After deliberating on an I1 clarity 3 carat princess I took some pics on a loose mount (to get the effect) and I also looked at another 1.55 G coloured si1 princess too. Pics show them all on my finger. Ill likely be doing the halo with the 1.55 g colour princess. I see not a hint of warmth and happy that I took all the steps to make a proper informed decision thanks to you all who commented on all my previous posts.
First pic: Top ring is the 3 carat then my current 1.5 "i" colour which was too warm for me and bottom is the 1.55 g colour loosely sitting in halo. Obviously it will be set properly in a newly handmade halo but this is just to give an idea.
Second pic: single shot of 1.55 in halo
I found 3 carat a bit "murky" at times and decided it looked a bit like an old cubic zirconia or something.
If I halo the 1.55 g - should I leave a tiny gap between pricness and halo or have it flush? My sisters oval has a tiny gap so overall effect is a little bit bigger.
As you can see I want the soft corners of a cushion halo as I think sharp halo is too harsh.
Will give jeweller go ahead today - would love some ideas and opinions!
