I just received my sapphire today for my budget ring project. The stone was from gems2u4ever on ebay and took 13 days to get to me. I have included the ebay listing. Color is reddish/purple but the certification says purple orange. It is certified unheated from AIGS but I don't think I'll get it recertified elsewhere. I got what I thought was a good deal since there was a small crack on the table. I am hoping it won't affect the life of the stone. I don't mind it since this is a budget ring. I plan to set the stone in the rose gold below. I hope this wasn't a bad purchase.

I am not a professional but I wonder if that crack on the table can be buffed out by a gem cutter?

I haven't thought about buffing it in since I don't know if it is a deep chip or not. I think I'll leave it alone for now but I'll ask when I take the stone in to get set.

Thank you. I hope I didn't make a bad purchase. I had some regret but I don't want to the hassle of returning it so I am keeping it.
