my BGD package is delayed in Customs!!

I called FedEx but they can't seem to shed any light!! :((
 
oh no! So near... and yet so far. How heart breaking ;(

hopefully its just a technical glitch and it will be released VERY soon! Keep thinking positive thoughts Phoenix! :saint:

Thank you, Enerchi and armywife!! I'm so bummed out!! It's been 3 hours already since the last update on their site and so far, still nothing!! :blackeye:
 
ARgh! I know what you are going thru - and you can't help but keep hitting "update" every few minutes... :lol:
Are they closed for the day? (not sure what time zone you are in) It could be something simple like the computer operator is off sick and they are short staffed so not updating the data frequently... ?? I like to think in the 'simple terms' :cheeky:

It will be there - it practically IS there - but waiting is the hardest part. Hang in there.

That's what I've been doing, lol!

I'm 8 hrs ahead of GMT and it's just gone past mid-day here on Friday. I've been talking to FedEx but they couldn't tell me anything other than "it's being held up by Singapore Customs"!! I emailed Lesley and she wrote back to say that FedEx had contacted BGD office and ask for a copy of the Commercial Invoice. Lesley doesn't know why cos supposedly 3 copies of the CI were enclosed in the FedEx pouch!

ARRGHHH!! So frustrating!
 
So I have an update: FedEx told me there's *definitely* no Commercial Invoice attached with the package (not sure what's happened as Lesley assured me that 3 copies were included in the pouch). So now I've emailed it to them.

weird... Yes, good luck - it will clear, it's just going to take longer... D^MN!!! :angryfire:

It will make the arrival and opening of the box, that much more momentous! You'll be even MORE excited to see it!
 
Oh, Phoenix, I hate that for you! I know how it is constantly checking tracking!!! Hope it arrives soon!

I'm interested in knowing what you're getting from BGD! Did you switch out the diamonds in your 5 stone?

Lol! I'm not getting any new bling, just changing 2 of the 5 diamonds for better quality ones.

My BGD is delayed as well! ;(

Apparently there is missing paperwork but they can't tell me what. It doesn't help that the package is about 10 minutes away from where i am but the paperwork is on the other side of the country!

Ooh FedEx really annoys me sometimes. :nono:

Unfortunately, mine is still delayed and nobody knows what's going on and they're not doing a thing to help!! :angryfire:

I've provided them with all the infor, have been calling FedEx and emailing themm and yet still nothing!! And now I'm just sitting here twiddling my thumb! :sick:

This whole 5-stone ring business has been a complete nightmare actually! I wish I'd NEVER had it done! :rolleyes:

H.O.T, really glad to hear yours is sorted out! :appl: Can't wait to see the pics.

Phoenix, could it be because this is a returned item?

The last time I wanted to exchange my BGD, I called up Customs to ask how to declare that the GST for the item had been paid so that when the exchanged item is shipped to me, I need not pay GST again. I was told that for personal purchases, Customs do not recognize waiver for returned or exchanged items. This is only applicable to businesses that can claim back the GST from Customs through some paperwork.

That is why in the end, I decided not to exchange my diamond.

Hope this nightmare comes to an end soon!

My ring just spend the weekend in Customs in London, so I know exactly how you feel. I have been using the Fed Ex tracking app for android, which DH now calls the Crazy Lady Obsessotrack App. I've been refreshing it every ten minutes since Friday evening. Mercifully, the package is on its way to me now and I hope yours will be there asap.

My sapphire just cleared customs so should be with me soon. I'm annoying hubby by checking the parcel tracking every 5 minutes!

FedEx and customs can really rattle your mind sometimes!

Phoenix I really really hope that the problem is sorted out soon and the package is on its way to you with no more problems!
