I absolutely love it. We actually got engaged two weeks ago, but I couldn''t get any decent pictures of it...we joked that it was a vampire ring...couldn''t get a good picture to save our lives!

Here are the specs:

Center stone 1.57 Carats, I color, vvs2.

Setting, platinum halo, .4 carats pave set G,H color.

Long story short for where we got the stone -

We got it through a diamond wholesaler that is a friend of my dad''s. My folks ran a small jewelery store out of their home about 20 years ago and although the don''t sell much jewelery any more, they''ve stayed friends with the wholesaler and he''ll sell my father stones although he doesn''t sell to the public.

He also made the setting. When we went to look at stones, he showed me several settings (I knew I wanted an asscher with a halo). I found one that was close to what I liked but I asked if he could thin the band and the halo (I didn''t want the halo to overshadow the stone), set the ring with prongs so that it wasn''t flush against the halo and a few other things I wanted to change. He said no problem and less than a week later I had my custom ring.

I was amazed at how quickly he was able to do it!

The reason I have an almost unhealthy obsession with your ring is I''m about to get a custom setting like yours almost. But I also love to look at beautiful jewelry!

There is nothing better (In my opinion) than an asscher...I love that ring!! It is nice to see an "I" color Asscher. I have an "I" and I think they are really pretty. The halo makes the diamond look really large too!

Oh Wow. I love the setting and the stone is yummy. I had a chance to see my first real life asscher last week at Pearlman''s and I was amazed at that mile deep look that every talks about. i bet you can''t stop staring at it..
