I am so excited to introduce my new Quadex bezel pendant from Brian Gavin! It’s like my two favorite shapes – the Asscher and the round – had a baby and, I absolutely LOVE it!
This was a complete impulse purchase for me. One Saturday afternoon in June, while my hubby was taking a nap, I was scrolling through the BGD inventory and I ran across this stone. By the time he woke up, I already had the setting planned in my head – a bezel that embraced the unique shape.
And I knew that if I was getting a bezel (a first for me!) it had to be from Brian Gavin. I wanted something delicate – just a little frame – for the diamond. And I wanted it to slide.
The first rendition of the pendant was not what I had in my head at all. It made the stone look like a cushion. The corners were rounded and did not highlight the beautiful cut corners. I saw the photos online before it shipped out and immediately contacted my sales associate, Jamie.
What a rock star Jamie is! She emailed me back that day with the offer to completely redo the pendant. I didn’t even have to ask! (They even sent me CADs for my approval. Also a first for me!)
I have read often on this site that a vendor’s customer service level is really determined by how they deal with you when things go awry. I can tell you honestly, the folks at BGD went above and beyond for me and exceeded my expectations. My interactions were with Jamie and Lesley were wonderful, and whoever worked behind the scenes to create this pendant deserves kudos, as well. I was - and am - just blown away.
So, about the pendant. It. Is. FABULOUS! I also have a .45 carat K ACA pendant, and the flashes in this Quadex one seem bigger and bolder. It is very dynamic, and the bezel itself blends in so well with the diamond and definitely adds presence. And IT DOESN’T FLIP! I was worried about that. But it is made like the Barbara with the three bars on the back, and it sits just right.
I’m so happy with it and I just had to share, in case anyone was on the fence about a Quadex! I just love it! (As usual, my pics don’t do it justice, but I hope they’ll give you an idea!) Thank you for letting me share!
