My 10 Year upgrad e ring CAD''s are in

Hey Everyone, So I finally made a decision on a new upgrade e ring for my 10 year anniversary. We are planning to go to Vegas and renew our vows. We decided to get marred by Elvis. It should be really fun. We had the big wedding before with the white dress and all the flowers and such.
I really love my original set and I really do not want to change it. It is white gold and yellow gold trellis design from Birks, five diamonds. It is not huge compared to some of the amazing rings on pricescope. My husband and I have been trying to decided what to do. We both do not want to redo my current rings, but I really wanted a white gold set .
Seaching on pricescope I came accross MrsRocks gorgeous blue sapphire/half moon pave ering and we both fell in love with it. So we decided to have a similar one made by the Natural Sapphire Company, but instead of the blue sapphire center stone, I am having a pink sapphire set.
Yesterday they sent me the CADS. I have never had anything made so I was a little surprised by the CAD (everything looks really chunky, I hope this is normal), but Livia said that everything would be more delicate than the actual CAD appears.

Some of the spec I do know about the CAD.
Pinks Sapphire: 1.14 ctw Ceylon Sapphire medium pink, brilliant cut IF /VVS1
Two half moon diamonds G/VS1 .50 ctw
.85 ctw D/E VS1 pave diamond halo and shank

Let me know what you all think. Thank you MissRocks for the inspiriation.
I am also hoping to get a matching eternity band either in diamonds or diamonds and pink sapphires.

I also forgot to let everyone know that the prongs will be just like MissRocks--two pointed prongs on each side of the pink sapphire, very Leon Mege style.

Thank you so much for your comment. I hope it is delicate and that the pave is done well. I''m sure it will. CAD''s are so hard to tell, but I am sure the Natural Sapphire Company will do the a great job. They said it will take about two weeks to complete. I will post hand shots as soon as it comes, but then I have to put the ring away until Vegas.

Wow ... that''s a lotta ring! The stone looks lovely & I dig pairing it with half moons ... there''s something about the scale of the sidestones that gives me pause. If *I* was designing the ring I might either find smaller half moons so that when they are halo''d they end up slightly smaller than the center stone w/halo. OR ... perhaps skip the haloing of the sidestones -- maybe just a thin milligrained bezel, or delicate claw prongs?

JMHO ... it looks like it''ll be stunning no matter what. Great combo. Just thought maybe you were looking for design input, since you asked "whaddya think" etc...

Sorry I have not been able to respond. I have been having problems with my internet. Thank you so much decodedelight for your comments. I totally agree with you. I always love advice from the PSers. You are all fantastic. The day after your post, I contacted NSC and they assured me that the CAD does not show the delicate nature of the pave as well as it could. Livia says the side stones will be more proprotional so that the center looks bigger.
I am very excited to see the final product. It should be ready by next week. they have promised to send me pictures as soon as it is done so I will post as soon as those come in.
I wiill also be getting a pink sapphire and diamond eternity pave band to match.

ETA : morganleFay, I just read your the other post about your original ring and about some of your friends' comments! Geez!! Your poor husband must have felt so bad then! This upgrade definitely makes it very meaningful given the story behind it. Congras to your lovely upgrade.

Thank you all for all your kinds words on the CAD. I can''t wait either for the real thing. They are going to send me pictures as soon as it is finished. I am hoping that it is soon. They said two weeks. I am guessing it should be ready by the middle of next week. I will post pictures as soon as the ring comes.
