Cehrabehra - every kind of danglie! I guess I pictured how Phoenix had/has pearls that dangled at one point and took that to Widget style dangle sapphires and other coloured stones. I just like your idea of keeping it a bit more modest with the stud earrings and mixing up the looks

I was going to suggest halo earring jackets also - I''ve seen some gorgeous ones (and the BGD ones look amazing - http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5412 ) and they REALLY add size and sparkle to studs. I would get the biggest studs and jackets you can get with the budget - and then you can wear them together for a more substantial and sparkly look, or the studs themselves for a more modest look.

Here is a link to Bliss''s earrings (I hope she doesn''t mind me posting it - I remember seeing these and falling in love with them!) and even though they''re not a jacket that can be removed, I think studs with halo jackets would look very similar. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/custom-halo-diamond-studs-yipee.117126/

Okay here's what I would do - I would get some studs - not the max size (You have big - I'm going for something different here) but a somewhat modest size and then get a) a halo jacket set to make them big and blingier and b) danglies that attach by just slipping the post through a hoop. Three earrings in one - and without either addon you would have a set that you could wear anywhere that isn't tooooo flashy for those times when modesty is preferred for safety or respect. But of *course* I'd get the biggest ones you could get and still get the jackets and the danglies lol

I love this idea! It leaves you with a few different options, including dangles you could wear with your other earrings.
I LUUUURVVVEEE this idea too, Sara!!

In fact, I almost totally forgot that I do have 3 pairs of jackets, these:

1) https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pear-shaped-earrings-jackets.76770/
(I've had them made into LM-style jackets. I can't seem to find pics tho')

2) White SS pearl dangles (Addy, I still have them; and they are fabulous!

)

3) Pair of Tahitian pearl dangles

Sara, I love your idea of getting some DBTY dangles.

Btw, I love your idea of starting a thread named "show me your danglies", ROTFLMAO!!

I LOVE the idea of jackets too; thanks, Lilac and Sara.

I totally *puffy heart* Bliss' pair of halo'ed studs (not to mention that she's such a lovely and bubbly gal with a fabulous sense of humour), but am not sure that I can pull it off!!

Just to get your ideas, you guys: do you know where I could get a pair of jackets that are very delicate looking (like Manhattan Lawyer's halo'ed studs - see link below; hers are not jackets though) and that also lie really flat? I ask because I did have a pair of jackets made by a jeweller in Singapore and the studs kind of "jut out" of the jackets and that was the most UNcomfortable pair (ie. earrings+jackets) I'd ever worn!

I *hate* earrings that don't lie flat against my lobes.

Since you''re only planning on wearing them while your ears heal, why not just get fakies? Is it REALLY worth 10K to you to sport new bling for a few measly WEEKS? When they''ll probably sit UNWORN after that - since you already have so many earring options?

Also, I find it a bit hard to believe that in your extensive collection of jewels that you don''t *already* have a lightweight enough option to wear while healing.

Maybe take another look, hmmm?

Ha ha, I've already had most of them shipped off for sale!! That's what I meant earlier when I said that I was selling some other jewellery. And I gave some to my sisters and nieces. Two other pairs are/ were at BGD's. Out of one pair, one diamond is to be recut and reset into a pendant, the other has been put up for sale. The other pair is to be reset into an eternity ring.

I guess that I'm pretty fickle

. I must be corrupted by PS (oh ok, I shouldn't blame anyone else - i've always been fickle when it comes to bling, LOL)!! I only have the BGD studs left, believe it or not (well, apart from the 3 pairs of dangles). My earlobes are not soooooo badly torn; I am just a type A personality: I want my ear-holes to match up perfectly and to be as small as possible. What else can I say?!!

Incidentally, I didn't realise that other PS'ers remembered how many pairs of earrings I had!
