it's zircon! which is why I'm even more excited. It looks great in these pics but I was very confused by the description. Ok, think I'll pull the trigger. it looks so much closer to what I found on multicoulor.

I actually thought about just sucking up the extra cost and trying to buy a diamond, but it would be a smaller size (obviously) for much more $$.

Oh, yes, brown zircons are fantastic imposters of brown diamonds. I think it’s much easier to emulate a brown diamond than a white one.

I see in the bottom photo it has slight double refraction and more of a tilt window than a diamond, but to the naked eye, it won’t be noticeable.

You are a lifesaver! Hopefully I'll love it in person. It's on a stupid auction, but didn't sell last round and I'm in touch with the vendor so hopefully I get it and like it IRL. But his return policy is good in case I don't.

I bought this a couple of years ago. Only paid for regular freight. Took two weeks to arrive. Simple transaction. But it was pretty cheap all things considered. I've since sold it.
Any time I've asked for additional photos, maybe twice?, they've looked exactly the same as the listing photo. Not saying they were photoshopped, but really really close to the listing photos.
I don't know how I'd feel about an expensive stone transaction and the possibility of a return with them.

I just last week purchased these and they were relatively cheap, also only paid the regular freight. If I end up not liking them, I don't consider them expensive enough for the return hassle.

Just saw that you listed the brown zircons. Did they have a color descriptor on MC? It's helpful to see your pics vs theirs. Sorry you didn't end up liking the center Stone

No- frustrating that his color description wasn’t there. I find them pretty helpful, too.
I don’t understand the ins and outs of what he gives them to and what he doesn’t. But- that’s a lot of time.....

The zircon I ended up buying (not by multicoulor) came today @T L . Sadly I don't love it. Its much more yellow than brown, and the tint is much too subtle. Now I have to return it to the Netherlands



Same vendor wrote me before this one arrived saying he found a higher quality one in his personal collection, and that if I didn't like this one I could exchange for the higher quality one (obviously paying the difference in cost). Here's the better option:



What do people think of this option?

Well if you didn’t like this one, then his vendor photos are inaccurate, and you probably won’t like that one either. The one you have had a very large table, and a significant tilt window as well.

I have bought tons of stones over the years from Multicolour. If you send David the photos that have inspired you and say "this is what I'm looking for. I don't want to waste your time by having to return stones .... can you guide me as to which you think out of (a) (b) and (c) will be best for me" he will give you his honest opinion as to which may suit you best. I've found him to be super helpful. One thing about Multicolour to bear in mind is that you definitely pay for what you get from them.
