After I retired, I've been volunteering at our local Police Department where I have learned about tactical flashlights. Our CSI Technicians use UV flashlights in their work to detect bodily fluids. In addition to detecting fluorescence in diamonds, you can also use them for these other uses:

The flashlight that I bought has LW 635 nm and 690 nm in it. LW 635 nm is used in diamond grading.
