Today is a time to consider our most valued diamonds...
Forget for a moment the serious discussion about the tradoffs in cut, color, clarity, and carat.
I propose that you take the time to buff off your freinds and familly and look at how they add sparkle and add brillance to your life
Some of them are a little thick in the girdle, while others have perfect cut (to all the various definitions of perfect cut). Colors range all over the spectrum, and some are quite clear while others seem cloudy at times. Size does not seem to matter, tiny to large; and just like the carbon based stones discussed so much on this site - dealing with your carbon based family and freinds come down to compromise in most cases. What a good compromise in the vast majority of cases.
They all add sparkle and briliance to our lives, and what price can you put on their true value.
I would shudder to think of submitting them to a lab for grading; would not want a certification on any of them.
