Back in January at OMBAS, I saw the most magnificent dinner ring I’ve ever laid eyes on. But at the time, I just wasn’t mentally ready to make her mine.

Still, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. In April, I reached out to the dealer to see if she was still available. She was! But then I ended up bringing home my HG OMC bracelet and Cressida instead.

Fast forward to June—Sin City Finds scooped her up at the Vegas show :(. I kept telling myself, Cressida is so stunning—you don’t need that other ring. And yet… I never got around to resizing Cressida.

To my surprise, “the ring” didn’t sell right away. A few weeks passed, and I decided to test the waters. I released a couple of other rings—they found homes quickly. Then I released Cressida and she flew out the door.

That same day, I messaged SCF—and just like that, the dream ring was finally mine.

I named her Morgan le Fay because she bewitched me...

 Ooh, that's absolutely magnificent. It needs palatial descriptors, this one.
I'm especially obsessing over the gold work of trefoil and marquise combination element. Just the carving and nestling of it all. Makes my brain happy.
I fully understand the pining and now she's yours?! Serendipitous.

I am thrilled for you that she is finally yours! Meant to be!

I'm so glad you get it! I really never deliberated over another ring as much as this one.

Some pieces call to us … I’m so glad you listened … she’s incredible. Truly.

So happy for you! Wishing you many years of peace knowing you have your HG dinner ring ❤️

Welcome home Morgan Le Fay!

Thanks so much @Calliecake . I'm a sucker for big dinner rings and Edwardian. It was a lethal combo for me

So nice to get something that has haunted your dreams for a while! Long and luscious - may she enchant you forever!!

Love love love stories like this. Some pieces just choose you and MLF chose you. I believe that the universe has plans for all the jewels and finding them homes lol. MLF is right at home in your collection. I love the knuckle to knuckle presence hahahaha can't beat that! Enjoy your new HG dinner ring!

Glorious!

So beautiful! I caught a glimpse on instagram and wondered if she was new!

Can someone explain dinner vs cocktail ring please? I thought I needed a cocktail ring but I guess i need 2…one for dinner and one for cocktails? My husband loves you all ;)

I suspect those are names for the same thing but one name being older and one more modern.

Dinner rings used to be rings women bought themselves signifying their own worth and value. We all need one!

We do!

Bewitching. Absolutely bewitching.

I think the process you came to own her is important too. You felt the spark -- the tingles -- when you first met. But your mind couldn't rationalize adding her to your sparkly collection. BUT your heart ached for her. And you had to wait, and to and make sacrifices and prioritize. All that adds up to being sure with your whole being (heart & mind) that she is worth it -- the one for you! And I believe you will treasure her even more for this process.

Congrats to bringing home a beautiful ring, and to your bling love story!

Isn't she positively SPECTACULAR!! Wow... wear that beauty in good health and happiness.

Thank you @MissGotRocks!

Now that I think about it, I do tend to get fixated like with the bezeled OEC bracelet  . If I had missed out on this ring, I probably would have spent years searching for a similar one.

@maryjane04 I'm pretty sure I send you a pic this one from Miami. She was definitely meant to be mine.
Glorious!

Thanks so much @Rfisher !

I don't say this lightly, but I think Morgan le Fay is somewhere near the top of my favorite PS rings. Cressida was nice, but I would pick this one 100 times over. It was luck that you found her, and perseverence made her yours.

I always think of cocktail rings being very large stones, perhaps colored, either solitaire or a more elaborate setting. And I always thought of dinner rings as navette shaped, multiple smaller stones in more lacey settings, like Cressida and Morgan le Fay. I just did a google image search for both terms, and I think this is right, though I'm sure it can be quite subjective.

Dinner rings used to be rings women bought themselves signifying their own worth and value. We all need one!

I love this! It often feels like larger diamonds, especially solitaires, are the exclusive domain of engagement rings. I'm trying to do my part to change that one ring at a time. :lol-2:

Love this ring! She is absolutely beautiful and the finger coverage:kiss2:!

Congratulations! Morgan has definitely cast a spell on me:kiss2::kiss2:

Wow, what an incredible piece! She is just fabulous and I so envy that you have the finger real estate to be able to show her in her glory!

Absolutely amazing. Looks wonderful on you :kiss2:

Literally stunning from every angle :kiss2: I keep zooming & zooming & zooming!

She definitely chose you!

HI:

Right up my alley!!! Congrats!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Thank you @vitrona256 !

Here's a fun article-but I don't believe that it's 100% accurate. I've seen some exquisite Edwardian dinner rings and those pre-date Prohibition (which only happened in the US?).

@RunningwithScissors thank you for your poetic description! You're right-I did have to work for her-which somehow makes her feel more precious :geek2:

Thanks so much @Autumn in New England ! Still seems a bit surreal that she's mine.
