I was hoping you’d respond @nala! I love your halos. Yea I don’t think using existing setting is an option and it was custom. I just find that a size 4 ring finger seems to carry a 3 plus carat so differently than my size 7.25. The rings cover so much more on them. I am just putting the feelers out there but I know eventually I will make change. I know you understand!

I also think a lot of what bothers me is that the setting is a lot higher than I anticipated. Getting use to it but still not exactly what I expected. First time doing this and I have learned a lot.

ok I hadn't thought of it that way but makes sense. hmm I always found the shallower settings to look more spready to me hence making the stone look wider I guess if that makes any sense

In all honesty, I think we can all relate to DSS. Women who love diamonds can always go bigger...even me, in spite of my sentimental nature.
I’m not sure if a halo will satisfy you, or not. Looking at the profile photo to shared, the cathedral is a perfect height for a wedding band. I don’t think it sits too high off of your finger, as was mentioned, higher settings create a larger diamond effect. The fact that you have an open head allows plenty of light in for maximum sparkle; I’m certain that also makes your diamond look larger. The only aesthetic portion about your ring that I would change, to allow for a more large appearance of your beautiful honker would be to thin out the prongs, either into single claw or double claw prongs. I think the prongs you have may visually distract from the stone, and take away from it’s girth. It’s absolutely mouthwateringly delicious. I’m NOT a RBC fan; I’m hooked on step-cuts, so, for me to swoon over your stone, that is a true compliment.
IF you are STILL set on a halo setting, I agree with all of the above with VC’s Emilya. She’s on my mile long list of settings I dream of, every night. It’s delicate, understated, and allows the center stone to be the center of attention, adding just a bit of extra “OOMPH”, sparkle, and will give you a little more finger coverage.
I ALSO like the 3 stone idea. The sky’s the limit with 3 stone rings. Double your pleasure, and switch it up; you can add 2 of any other cut diamonds on Earth with your beautiful RBC! French Cuts would be gorgeous!! My mind is swirling with ideas, right now!!
I still love your stone on its own. I think changing the prongs may help do the trick, until you can make a final decision on what you really want to do. Otherwise, you’re just throwing money down the drain, and still unsatisfied.
