Hopefully you see this--I''ve been thinking about setting a stone in the JA timeless solitaire setting, the one that looks SOOOO gorgeous with your Mali. However I''m afraid the basket will create too big a gap between the setting and the band. Is there any way you could take a picture of the setting next to a straight band so I can visualize the gap? I would be so very very grateful!!!

BUMP

Mine is a 0.7 c in the timeless setting. I wear it with an alternating bezel band. I tried straight band, don''t like the gap between them. I found with a bezel band the gap is not as annoying.

JessicaP, thanks SO much. So the gap is too much with a straight band?
The setting is beautiful, btw, and it looks great with the bezel band!

If I wear it with a straight band, there is a 1 mm gap on the top. I don't mind parallel rings with a gap in between. What bother's me most is because the timeless shank is narrower on the under side, the straight band ends up tilted. If I look at them from side, I see a "v". That drives me crazy.

Do you have photos of this? I''m looking at the timeless for a reset but I already have the straight bands. Just wondering what it looked like!

jessicap - thank you for posting this pic! I too am thinking about doing a bezel band with some loose stones that I have and I really like the alternating look. My e-ring setting is similar to the Vatche RC though but this gives me a good idea of what to expect.

Sorry, I didn''t have a photo with straight band. I tried different styles at a local jewlery, than decideD to go with BGD. If I have to pair it with a staight band, I probably would go with a Tiffany Metro style. It was second on my list.
The parallel thing is just my personal taste. It may not bother you at all.
