Sorry. I do not like how it looks on your fingers. Now it reminds me of a tab ring from a soda can. Please forgive me for being too honest. I know. I know. I should say anything if I have nothing good to say.

I love the star shape ring in your original sketch, but this ring, on or off your fingers, does not resemble anything like your sketch.

I just thought of an idea to make your ring resemble more closely to your sketch. Disconnect the outer metal frame from the center stone (diamond), so that the perimeter can assume a (fat) star shape. In order to hold the center diamond in place. have two very thin metal bars/split shanks that run east west to connect the diamond on both ends to the rest of the ring. What do you think?

What bothers me about it is: it looks like a very casual ring to me - like the stones should be semi-precious, not precious. Not sure a different swoop will convince me otherwise. But that''s not an issue of the execution really.
haha, that''s okay. I think this style is very unique, and very wearable. I have a few rings w/ milgrain, engraving, and pave... and i I hardly wear any of that stuff to work because they get so banged up. My oval from Maytal just sits there 99% of the time. I take her out only to talk to her and tell her i keep her in there out of love. ;)

If someone wants to think this ring is cz, they can think that. I got the diamond for crazy cheap anyway. it was some lady''s engagement ring but she split from her husband so she set it into a belly ring then decided she didn''t like it. So i got it from ebay for $163 or something crazy!! Diamond is .40ct, H... SI1? VS2? i dont remember.. the tsavorite garnets were like $20.

The ring is silver. i''m not sure she can do two very thin metal bars?

She is going to possibly shave down some of the wire from the top and bottom areas and secure the 3 stones so the wire doesn''t have to touch the diamond bezel anymore, which is in line w/ your suggestion. I think that will work.

I really like the ring and the way it looks in your finger. The design feels very vintage in shape but modern in design!

I think it looks great on your finger.
