Mismatched rings together?

Do you mix up your golds? Or are you a one gold type of person? Would you wear a combination such as the one below? I’m trying to settle on a wedding band and what I want seems unreasonably expensive. (Diamond eternity band).
I wear my ER in my left hand and I usually wear the yellow gold ruby and diamonds that was my mum’s on my right hand.
Recently I had a finger nerve injury and swapped the ruby ring to my left hand temporarily.
While they certainly don’t go together - I’m surprisingly not hating it.
I have delayed chowing any wedding band as the sides of my ER have all diamonds and a love heart under the main diamond I don’t want to cover up.
I thought I would find some *flat* style ring that complimented it but that never happened.
There are a couple of places near me that use a laser and computer to design you a wedding band that fits into your ER perfectly which seems my only option to not cover my ER.

Started to think it would save us a a lot if I just used my mother’s ring as my wedding ring....
not sure it’s something I can live with ....
but when I take it away the ER looks a little lonely TBH.

if you wear mixed gold rings and obviously mismatched rings on the same finger can you share pics with me please?
Thanks so much

I agree with @Daisys and Diamonds. There are no rules. Well, one rule. Wear what you love and enjoy.

I wear mixed metals all the time.
One example is my platinum sapphire band with my yellow and white gold and platinum ER.

Definitely wear it if you love it & it feels comfy! I often wear my platinum eternity ring on my RH if I get finger swell, where it sits quite happily with my yellow gold Lucida.

I agree with the others. If you like wearing something. I wouldn't worry about about what either people think about them. My mom used to ask me are other people paying your bills? No? Then do what you want as long as you aren't hurting anyone! So i do. I pretty much either just wear my platinum and mined diamond ring alone or I wear it with rose gold some of the time. I don't really care if other people think it goes or not. I really like them together.

I mix too. I’m engaged and my ER is plat. My mom gave me her gold ring with tiny diamonds and rubies and I wear it with my ER. Firstly, the ring holds sentimental value and it’s the only finger it fits:dance:, secondly my fiancé says it doesn’t work together and I say, I don’t care.

Can we see a picture? Sounds fabulous & as the OP wears a ring with rubies next to her diamond, it'll be nice to see a different take on the same theme.

Sure! Not a great picture and my mom’s ring is not amazing quality but that’s not why I love it. My dad gave her this ring when they first got together and there was little money when they first started out. 67DB4D3D-1665-4E0F-8396-0476383DB693.jpeg

It's so pretty! And I love how they look together.

I think they look good together, where the ruby band crosses over almost creates a made to measure space for the diamond. Although for some reason I want to turn your set 180 degrees, no idea why but I think they'd look even better with the ruby band on the bottom, but that's just me!

I think mixing golds and styles is fun actually. I also like to match. My jewelry moods can change multiple times within a day, I feel like a weirdo...

I sometimes disappear during the day to change my jewelry mix matching...and my husband will ask me where I disappeared off to. I wear it for myself...no one even notices!

I think they look perfect together. As others have said, no rules! My jewelry is like my wardrobe, I wear what looks and feels right together -, mixed metals, gemstones, etc... If you love it, then that is what matters the most!

A huge attraction of jewelry for me is that I get to express myself the way I want to. For me.
I like that your stack is funky, fun and a little unexpected. I don't want my sets to look too cookie cutter, I want them to look like me.
Rock what you want, and rock what you got.:wink2:

I usually wear this platinum eternity band when I wear this yellow gold stack. The diamond is a Y-Z and I like the contrast against the platinum and white diamond band. 0A9556F4-6176-4970-AB93-0C3AF933DBDE.jpeg

Thank you for all your wonderful responses and pictures.
I couldn’t sign in for a while to reply. Your combinations are all so beautiful.
- I did try a twitching it around!
It does help my ER to not swing around as well as a bonus.
