I''m assuming you mean this: I have a platinum e-ring, and an 18K WG eternity band. The price of my w-band would have been prohibitive to us in platinum, and we got it on sale for about 50% off original retail price anyway, so we went with the WG. Looks good together. The WG will not wear as well, and you can already tell that. If you have the $$ to do it, go with platinum. Wear and tear will be minimal.
